Each year, a maximum of 10 postgraduate scholarships are awarded to candidates from developing countries who wish to obtain a master’s degree at Ghent University, Belgium through the VUFP Scholarship. The master scholarships are awarded for the duration of the studies, aiming at the delivery of a Ghent University diploma after max. 2 years of study. Eligible Countries The applicants must come from and should be nationals of one of the developing countries on the Master Grants country list (PDF). Priority, however, will be given to the categories on the country list with the lowest levels of development and income. Priority will also be given to students applying for an ICP-programme whose country is not on the VLIR-country list but on the UGent list. 30 Research Scholarships for Overseas Students at University of Edinburgh The University of Edinburgh is offering the 2012 Edinburgh Global Research Scholarships for international students. These awards are designed to attract high quality overseas research students to the University. Number of Scholarship At least 30 Edinburgh Global Research Scholarships will be awarded for the 2012-2013 academic session. Scholarship Worth Each award covers the difference between the tuition fee for a UK/EU graduate student and that chargeable to an overseas graduate student. 2012/2013 Eiffel Excellence Masters and PhD Scholarships in sciences, economics and management, law and political science in France for Developing Countries The French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs launched the Eiffel excellence scholarship programme in January 1999 to support French centres of higher education in their international outreach initiatives, in a context of mounting competition among developed countries, to attract elite overseas students on masters, engineering and PhD courses. The programme focuses on three key subject areas of sciences, economics and management, law and political science. The courses undertaken in France will help them to obtain positions of responsibility in the public and private sectors.
