Any undergraduate course area offered at UCL About Scholarship University College London (UCL) and the Africa Educational Trust (AET) have agreed to collaborate in a scheme to enable students from Africa, who are financially unable to study in the UK, to pursue full-time undergraduate studies at UCL. Sponsorship Program: Computer Science for High School (CS4HS) Purpose To Support Computer Science Education in Africa and other countries mentioned below The CS4HS is an annually Google sponsored initiative to promote Computer Science and Computational Thinking in universities, high school and middle school curriculum in US, Canada, Europe, Middle East and Africa. With a grant from Google’s Education Group, universities develop 2-3 day workshops for local high school and middle school Computer Science teachers. These workshops incorporate informational talks by industry leaders, and discussions on new and emerging CS curricula at the high school and middle school level. The 2012 application process is now open. Google CS4HS has funded 3 exciting projects in Sub-Saharan Africa over the past two years: Strathmore University in Kenya, Makerere University in Uganda and The University of Cape Town in South Africa.
