Google RISE (Roots in Science and Engineering) Awards are designed to promote and support Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) and Computer Science (CS) education initiatives. Google provide awards to organizations working with primary & secondary schools and university students to provide enrichment programs in these fields.

The Bertha Scholarship is a competitive scholarship for the full time MBA at the University of Cape Town's Graduate School of Business for those candidates who are working on market-based and business solutions to social and environmental challenges in emerging markets, and in particular in Africa.
The Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship provides full scholarships to cover tuition fees for up to five students every year for the MBA programme at the GSB. The scholarships have been established to reduce the financial burden of undertaking a MBA for those dedicated to working in or starting entrepreneurial ventures that tackle social or environmental problems.
