2012 UCL – United World Colleges – Undergraduate International Outreach Bursaries, UK Posted: 07 Dec 2011 04:49 AM PST Undergraduate Bursaries for International Students at University College London, UK 2012 The University College London (UCL) is collaborating with the United World Colleges (UWC) in a financial aid scheme to enable graduates of UWC, who are financially unable to study in the UK, to pursue full-time undergraduate studies at UCL. With this scheme UCL supports the aims of UWC to make education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. Two bursaries are available annually for UWC-nominated students who have firmly accepted their UCL admissions offer. Selection criteria Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial hardship and academic merit, based on the aims of the bursary. Field of Study Courses offered by the University Eligibility Applicants must: Be a final-year IB diploma student attending a United World College Apply for admission through UCAS by January for a full-time undergraduate degree programme of study at UCL and firmly accept your UCL offer; Be assessed as paying overseas tuition fees; and Lack the financial means necessary to pursue undergraduate degree studies at UCL. ESED Scholarship for Students from Developing Countries 2012 Posted: 07 Dec 2011 01:19 AM PST Education for Sustainable Energy Development [ESED] Scholarship Programme for students from developing countries and territories identified for OECD In 2001, the Partnership, formerly e8, established, the ESED Scholarship Program to support pursuit of advanced studies in sustainable energy development worldwide and to encourage meaningful contributions to the collective body of knowledge about this subject. The scholarships are available to outstanding students from developing countries and economies in transition, for a period of up to two years at the Masters.
