Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah Crowned Creative Teenager League Champions

A video clip titled ‘Segenggam Janji Seerat Ikatan’ and produced by students of Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah, Kuala Lumpur was adjudged winner of the 2010 national level Creative Teenager League Championship here Thursday night.

As winners, the five Form V students who produced the video clip – Muhammad Uwais Mohammad Sabree, Muhammad Fikri Mohd Ismadi, Muhamed Shaik Firdaus Mohamed Shaik Jamaludin, Fuad Omran – walked away with RM10,000 cash, a video camera and trophy.

Runner-up SMK Pokok Sena from Kedah with their production titled ‘Evolusi Sistem Perhubungan’ received RM7,500 cash, a digital camera and trophy while SMK Taman Selesa Jaya 2 from Johor received RM5,000, digital camera and a trophy as third place winner.

Sekolah Menengah Vokasional Pendidikan Khas Shah Alam meanwhile, walked away with the Special Jury’s Award, for their work that was titled ‘Jalur Istimewa’ and pocketed RM3,000, digital camera and a trophy.

The prizes were presented by Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim.

The Creative Teenager League Championship was jointly organised by the Ministry of Information Communication and Culture, Education Ministry, Filem Negara Malaysia, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission and Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM).

“The competition is an avenue to unearth talented youths who have the creativity to produce movies, songs, animation and other creations. When we watch movies, they must be our own movies, not Hollywood or Bollywood movies,” he said.
