Sydney Achievers International Scholarships in Australia 2012 – For Undergraduate and Postgraduate Posted: 27 Nov 2011 07:57 AM PST The University of Sydney Australia is announcing the Sydney Achievers International Scholarships for new international students commencing at the University in 2012. The prestigious scholarships are aimed at attracting high achieving, academically meritorious, international students at one of the finest institutions of higher education in the world. Sydney Achievers International Scholarships (Undergraduate) Scholarship Worth The University of Sydney will award 30 scholarships of AUD$10,000 each per annum, available for a maximum of three years, (total value AUD$30,000) for any Undergraduate program offered at the University (subject to the recipient maintaining satisfactory academic progress each year). Scholarship Recipient will have to take care of their living allowance. Eligibility Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification or an international senior secondary qualification accepted by the University with an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 98* or equivalent. Students who have already commenced tertiary studies or students transferring with credit exemptions and/or advanced standing are not eligible. Students completing Foundation Studies Programs are also not eligible. Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Scholarship Programme 2012 Netherlands Posted: 27 Nov 2011 07:49 AM PST The MENA Scholarship Programme enables mid career professionals from Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Syria and Tunisia to do a short course in the Netherlands. Each year there are around 120 scholarships available, which are proportionally distributed among the participating countries. Ideally, half of the scholarships are allocated to female applicants. The Middle East and North Africa Scholarship Programme (MENA Scholarship Programme) is initiated and fully funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Field of Study The MENA Scholarship Programme's target group are mid-career professionals who are employed by organizations or institutions operating in one of the following fields of study: Water management Business administration and management Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Geographical Information Science. The candidates must be nationals of and working in one of the selected countries. Scholarship Worth A MENA scholarship is a contribution to the costs of the selected short course and is intended to supplement the salary that the scholarship holder must continue to receive during the study period.
